Academies and Polytech

Information regarding Polytech

  • From their website -  "Hunterdon County Polytech’s programs blend academics with career exploration and technical training in a range of areas, from healthcare to automotive and animal science to construction. Unlike a traditional high school, every one of those programs offers college credits, licensing, credentials, specific job skills or certifications. Students attend their home high schools for all academic requirements and are bused to Polytech for half-day programs. Polytech courses run for a full year to comprise 20 career and technical education credits with most students starting as juniors.
  • New this academic year, Polytech is offering its first full-time program in animal science. Students enter this program as freshmen, whereas the district’s shared-time programs, including a shared-time animal science program, are appropriate for juniors and seniors.
